The founders of Riteway Charity Services started out over 25 years ago in the car recycling business. Just over 10 years ago, the opportunity to give back the community presented itself when the local Salvation Army needed some assistance with their car donation program. Riteway Charity Services was born from the fairly new concept of charity car donations. From then on, Riteway Charity Services has stood for the most honest, reliable car donation program. By concentrating our efforts in California, we have been able to keep our cost to the charities low. This has also allowed us to provide personal one on one service both to the donors and charities alike, whereas a national fundraiser cannot. Where other fundraiser's list of supported charities have shrunk due to scams and high fees, Riteways list of supported charities has grown. Most all of the charities listed on our supported charities page rely EXCLUSIVELY on us for their car donation program.

Riteway Charity Services is licensed by the California Attorney General to do business as a commercial fundraiser. We are also bonded and insured. We have been DMV licensed for over 25 years.

Riteway Charity Services ensures that it is the charity that benefits from your donation. As you can see on our non-profits page, we charge no commissions or percentages of the sale. We only charge a modest fee of $250 to cover expenses. Regardless if a vehicle sells for $500 or $5,000, our fee is still $250.00. With the exception of vehicles no longer road worthy, we handle the sale of each donated vehicle onsite either through our live auction, walk-in sales, or eBay auctions. This helps to maximize the sale price of each vehicle, which helps the charities realize a higher gross per vehicle.

We feel one of the most important causes to have benefited from vehicle and car donations are children's causes. You will see, on our Supported Charities page, that we work with many charities devoted to children's issues such as youth groups, abused and homeless children, children with life threatening conditions, just to name a few. We have helped raise millions of dollars over the past 12 years for many other causes as well, ranging from medical research & treatment (alzheimer's, cancer, heart disease, and AIDS), religious organizations, educational causes, battered and abused women causes, etc. No matter what charity you want to benefit from your donated vehicle, be assured Riteway Charity Services shares the same goals.
